Restavracia N’s publication project Moscow Architecture of the NEP and First Five Year Plan period. Twelve Routes gets shortlisted for the Art Newspaper Russia 2015 award in the Book of the Year Award.

One of the activities Restavracia N engages in apart from its core operations is research into the history of Moscow architecture. In 2013 the company joint forces with the ABC Design publishing house to release the Moscow Architecture of the NEP and First Five Year Plan period. Twelve Routes guide in three volumes. The guide is devoted to constructivism in Moscow, a very popular trend of the Soviet architecture in the 1920s-1930s that put the Russian school of architecture on the map. The new 2014 edition is an expanded and revised version of the original three-volume publication that’s been released as one book.

‘We want to share our vision of urban space and direct the attention of our readers to a number of unique materials and publications of great bibliographic value. We hope our efforts will help preserve the history of the style and allow our readers to get a fresh look at Moscow’s pieces of architecture,’ stressed Enver Kuzmin, Restavracia N CEO.

The Art Newspaper Russia award was given out twice in 2013 and in 2014. The award brings together several different art disciplines and is offered in the following categories: Exhibition of the Year, Museum of the Year, Book of the Year, Renovation of the Year and Personal Contribution. This year’s annual Art Newspaper Russia awards ceremony is going to be held at the Moscow Manege on April 2, 2015.
