London is viewed by high net worth individuals as a guarantor of stability, someplace they can always invest in. As a global cultural and financial center, London offers benchmark quality of life and unlimited opportunities for self-development. For this reason demand for real estate in Britain’s capital was not hurt by either the global economic crisis or geopolitical instability.
Some fled to London for security, escaping volatility and other unpleasant twists of fate. But if you do not want to burn the bridges and there are things taking you back to Moscow, perhaps it might make sense to build your own London at home. We are not just talking about blindly copying London, after all Moscow’s got its own character and individuality. What we are talking about is adopting best urban practices of the British capital: its well-tuned infrastructure, quality and comfortable new developments that do not clash with the overall look of the city, preserving green areas and, most importantly, creating a healthy urban environment.
