MAINDOOR: Knightsbridge Private Park Interiors to get English Royal Styles

David Linley, a world-famous decorator and nephew of the British queen, has drafted an exclusive design for the public areas of the Knightsbridge Private Park residential development. The classically styled interiors feature art-deco elements are to be painted in the colours of British aristocratic dynasties.

The design firm Linley has completed the development of an interior design concept for the public areas of the Knightsbridge Private Park elite residential development, including the central reception areas, the halls of the four apartment buildings as well as the spacious elevator halls. The interior design of the central reception area will feature onyx light panels, marble floors and some bronze elements. A lot of the elements are to be one of a kind, manufactured specifically for Knightsbridge Private Park. In particular, the reception desk with the adjacent storage area will be decorated with a bronze panel picture depicting Russia’s time zones.

The design of the central reception area will be expanded upon in the interiors of the four Knightsbridge Private Park residential buildings named after famous British aristocratic families: the Tudor, the Lancaster, the Stuart and the Windsor. The halls of the four buildings will have the same design and will only differ in the colour scheme. The interiors will feature laser cut bronze panel pictures depicting famous British bridges (the Albert bridge, the Tower bridge, the Westminster bridge and the Millennium bridge).

The halls will also feature custom-made mail boxes also designed by Linley and made from ebony with bronze finishing. Special mention should be made of the custom-designed elevators with suede padded ceilings, marble floors and walls padded with quilted leather and adorned with mirrors.

A key goal the design had to meet was to use natural materials (marble, onyx, bronze and authentic leather) in a modern interpretation. The traditional colours of the British royal dynasties were selected for the design, complex hues of blue, red and orange. The luxurious interiors of the public areas in the residential development will be ready by the time the project is commissioned in 2015
