RESTAVRACIA N: Gala Concert Celebrating 75th Birthday of Elena Obraztsova

A number of international opera stars came to perform on Bolshoi’s historic stage and congratulate Ms Obraztsova: Anna Netrebko, Hibla Gerzmava, Maria Gulegina, Olga Peretyatko, Yekaterina Surina, Dmitry Khovorostovsky, Jose Kura, Bruno Pratico, Joseph Aivazov and others. The audience were also treated to performances by Bolshoi ballet prima Svetlana Zakharova and world famous flamenco dancer Maria Pages.
Elena Obraztsova performed her crown jewel aria of the countess from Chaikovski’s Queen of Spades. Throughout the evening footage was shown from the singer’s performance in the Bunka Kaikan auditorium in Tokyo, the Bolshoi production of Carmen and the Rural Honour opera movie.
Supporting events organised by the Obraztsova Foundation gives Restavracia N an opportunity to take part in the development of national art and preservation of not just Russian but international artistic values.
